How do I join WeArt?
You can join WeArt, either as a Member of a Full Member, in a matter of
minutes. At the very top of every page on the WeArt website, you'll see a text
that reads "No account yet? Register." Click on that link to begin
the registration process or get
started now.
What's the difference between being a Member and a Full Member?
When you become a Full Member with WeArt, either by paying $36/year or because
you've been sponsored by a WeArt Sponsor, you get these extra benefits:
- WeArt pays attention to your target market. WeArt will pull artists that market to defined industries and do networking for them. For example: Anyone who lists themselves as servicing the Wedding and Events Industry (musicians, photographers, seamstress, floral designer etc.), WeArt will have their information compiled and will in turn promote those services to that particular industry or target market.
- Suppliers of materials are searchable within their target market.
- Full members have the tools to upload a photo ready advertising image so that publications may pull needed materials directly from your site as they are required. This feature can also be used for coupons, registration forms or what ever you choose.
- A member may change their information at anytime without having to wait for an administrator to add new information or correct errors.
- All users may choose to show the organizations, galleries, retail stores etc. with which they are affiliated. We feel that it can be a great selling point to know with whom one aligns themselves. For example, a retail store might like to showcase the artists that they represent as much as an artist might like to list where a patron may find their work. Galleries might like to know of which Guilds and Organizations one is a member.
- Personal Calendar that dumps into the WeArt master calendar of events for WNC.
- Access to Blogs, news and views.
- Target marketing.
How long do my Full Member benefits last?
When you join WeArt as a Full Member, you'll receive one year of membership
benefits.
What if I forget my password?
Please contact the site administrator
by email and request that your password be reset.
How do I edit my directory listing?
Login using the email address and password used to create the profile. Once you
are logged in successfully, a personalized toolbar will appear at the top of
every page of the WeArt website. Click on "Edit Info" to make changes
to your profile. To review any changes you've made, click on "My Page"
in your personalized toolbar.
How do I remove myself from your database?
Contact us [links to Contact] and we will remove you from our database.

How did you find me?
WeArt is always looking for ways to promote the creative community. We found
you because you are already marketing yourself by some means and we saw value
in helping to promote your work, business, or organization.
How do I maximize the tools that are available to me on
the WeArt website?
We invite you to get creative with the tools available on the site. Use the
tools as they are appropriate to your industry. For example, an art therapist
will use the following tools much differently than a graphic designer.
Thumbnail image ideas:. A picture of your work, of yourself, your logo, store
front, a display, an employee, or your dog. You may choose any image that you
feel best suits the first impression you wish to create. Gallery image ideas: images
of your work, exhibitions, employees, or shots featuring your store, gallery.
Remember to title your images and we don’t mind if you display prices for your
work. Affiliation suggestions: Affiliate with friends, full members, or
organizations that you are a member of, a referral, studio mates, teachers,
mentors, students, or your employer. Audio and video ideas: Store commercials,
demonstrations, samples from your portfolio. Press pack inclusions: Resume,
letters of reference, supply sheets, syllabi, coupons and special offers,
samples of your work, advertisements, and featured articles.
Do you share data with outside companies and/or
organizations?
We may share compiled information about creative professionals, but we will
never share individual information about our Members or Full Members. We will
never sell mailing lists.
How do you protect Member privacy?
WeArt is a user-generated content site therefore we suggest that you only post
information that you would like to make public. If you are listed by WeArt and
you didn't add yourself to the directory, it's because we found you through
another listing and added your information ourselves; you may contact
us to remove yourself from the directory or to gain access to your account so
you can edit any information we have added.
Why do you ask questions about my income?
One of the WeArt goals is to account for many of the holes in the creative
population's economic demographic that would allow the creative community more
funding and more support. By providing the community with these percentages, we
hope to offer a more accurate account of how our creative class is thriving. In
sharing this information, we only provide compiled information; we'll never
share your individual information with anyone.
